Fenix ARB-L16-1050UP is a top-tier rechargeable Li-ion battery in the RCR123A (16340) size, featuring a massive 1050 mAh capacity and its own built-in USB-C charging port.
The main advantage is charging versatility. You can charge the battery by plugging a cable directly into its USB-C port (e.g., using a mobile phone charger or computer), in a classic external charger, or directly inside compatible rechargeable flashlights. It is the ideal solution especially for models that do not have their own charging port, such as the Fenix GL06, Fenix GL07, or Fenix GL22. It also serves excellently as a spare battery for the Fenix E18R V2.0, Fenix HM50R V2.0, Fenix HM51R V3.0, Fenix PD25R, and others. Thanks to modern Li-ion technology, it suffers from no memory effect and has minimal self-discharge, so it is always ready for use.
The Fenix ARB-L16-1050UP is one of the safest Li-ion batteries on the market thanks to its two-stage protection:
- Electronic protection: Integrated circuits at the positive pole monitor the battery against overcharging, over-discharging, short circuits, and excessive current draw. If limit values are exceeded, the electronics safely disconnect the cell.
- Mechanical protection: Inside the battery, there is a separator, overheating protection (PTC), and a special pressure relief valve.
Its size corresponds to the RCR123A standard, serving as a rechargeable alternative to disposable CR123A batteries. However, verify compatibility before purchasing: this battery has a higher nominal voltage (3.6 V) compared to disposable batteries (3 V).
It is also suitable for older models: Fenix HM51R (incl. V2.0), Fenix E15 XP-G2, Fenix E16, Fenix RC09, CL09, Fenix PD22 Ultimate Edition, Fenix PD25, Fenix E18, and LD15R.
WARNING – do not use in older models: Fenix E15 (does not apply to the XP-G2 version), PD10, PD12, PD20, PD22 (does not apply to the Ultimate Edition), and HL50. The higher voltage could damage their electronics!

Charging Options
The battery fully replaces the older types Fenix ARB-L16-700U, ARB-L16-700UP, and ARB-L16-800UP. It can be charged:
- Via USB-C port: Plug a USB cable into the side connector. During charging, the indicator light on the top glows red; once fully charged, it turns blue. A fully depleted battery charges in approx. 2.5 hours.
- In a flashlight or headlamp: The battery can also be charged inside compatible rechargeable flashlights.
- In a classic charger: Standard chargers for 3.6/3.7V Li-ion batteries can be used.
