Universal four-channel Liitokala Lii-600 fast charger and diagnostic station is designed for 3.7V/3.6V Li-Ion and NiMH batteries. Compared to conventional Li-ion battery chargers, it can also measure their capacity when discharging. Each charging slot is monitored independently so that batteries of different sizes, capacities and even different chemistries can be charged at the same time (Li-Ion and NiMH can be charged simultaneously). It automatically detects the inserted battery type and selects the optimal charging algorithm. A unique feature of this charger is the ability to charge Li-ion batteries in all four slots with a charging current of up to 3000 mA.
The charging current of Li-ion batteries can be selected manually in seven steps from 250 to 3000 mA (for NiMH only up to 1000 mA), or the charger in automatic mode can select it itself according to the measured internal resistance of the batteries.
There are a total of four functions
- Charge - classic charging, displays the capacity charged to the battery at the end. For Li-ion there are seven charging currents to choose from: 250, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 and 3000 mA, the maximum for NiMH is 1000 mA.
- Discharge - discharges the battery and displays the capacity measured during discharge at the end. The discharge current can be selected as 250, 500 and 750 mA.
- Test - charges, discharges and recharges the battery. At the end, the capacity measured during discharge and during the final charge can be displayed. The charging current value can be selected in the same way as in Charge mode, the discharge current is always 500 mA.
- Repair - attempts to charge deeply discharged Li-ion batteries. NiMH batteries will repeatedly charge and discharge at 250 mA to restore their capacity (this cycle can take several days!)
Use the Test function to accurately measure battery capacity. It must be taken into account that the Test is time consuming. A complete cycle with a 3500 mAh battery can take approximately 8 hours at the highest current setting. At the lowest current setting, it can take 1.5 days.
The charger can charge cylindrical Li-ion batteries with a length of 31 to 72 millimeters and a diameter of up to 26 millimeters. Thus, it is possible to charge, for example, types 26650, 22650, 25500, 18650, 17670, 18700, 14650, 18500, 18490, 18350, 17500, 14500, 16340, RCR123, 10440 and NiMH batteries of size AAA, AA, C. Batteries 21700 can be charged only in the version without protective electronics due to the length.
LiitoKala Lii-600 charger specifications
- Four independently monitored charging channels.
- Charging algorithm CC/CV for 3.7V/3.6V Li-Ion, -delta V for NiMH.
- Seven charging current levels for Li-ion 250, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 and 3000 mA. The highest current can be selected even when all four slots are fitted at the same time.
- Three levels of charging current for NiMH 250, 500, 1000 mA.
- Three levels of discharge current 250, 500, 750 mA.
- In automatic mode, the charger selects the charging and discharging current automatically according to the internal resistance of the battery.
- Four programs:
- Charge - charges the battery
- Discharge - discharges the battery
- Test - first charges, then discharges and fully charges the battery again
- Repair - attempts to charge a deeply discharged Li-ion battery, recharges/discharges NiMH batteries with a current of 250 mA to restore their capacity.
- Discharge is terminated for NiMH batteries when the voltage reaches approx. 0.9 V, for Li-ion batteries the discharge is terminated when the voltage reaches approx. 2.8 V.
- The following Li-ion batteries from our range can be recharged in the charger: 18650 li-ion, 26650, 14500, RCR123.
- The charger can also recharge NiMH/NiCd batteries of size AA or AAA.
- Four independent charging channels, automatic recognition of the type of battery being charged.
- Supported battery sizes: AAA, AA, C, 10340, 10350, 10440, 10500, 12340, 12500, 12650, 13450, 13500, 13650, 14350, 14430, 14500, 14650, 16500, 16340(RCR123A), 16650, 17350, 17500, 17650, 17670, 18350, 18490, 18500, 18650, 18700, 22500, 22650, 25500, 26500, 26650. Using the LiitoKala Lii-600 charger
Plug the charger into the mains and insert the batteries to be charged. Within eight seconds of inserting the battery, press the mode button and select the desired program (Charge, Discharge, Test, Repair). When the charger is switched on, the automatic selection of the charging/discharging current is activated, which is selected automatically according to the internal resistance of the batteries.
If you want to select the charging/discharging current manually, hold the current button for approximately 1 second, the display will show MANUAL in the upper right corner instead of AUTO. The current button can then be used to select the current within 8 seconds of inserting the battery. If no program is selected within the time limit after inserting the battery, the charging will start automatically with a current of 500 mA. If you want to select a program for a specific slot, first press the charging slot number. Long press and hold the mode button to change the program already running in the selected slot. When the selected program is complete, END will appear on the display.
After the Test program is finished, pressing the charging slot number can toggle the display to show the measured capacity during discharge and during charge.
The charger has a power saving function and automatically turns off the display backlight after a few seconds. To permanently light the display, press the number of any slot for approximately 3 seconds.
