Extremely durable, lightweight, and tailored for demanding users. The rechargeable Fenix HM53R Garnet headlamp is a special edition designed with an emphasis on top-tier performance and maximum practicality in the field. It offers a dazzling luminous flux of up to 1200 lumens (ANSI) with a beam distance of up to 158 meters. Its main advantage is the neutral white light (4500 K), which provides a more accurate color rendering and much better contrast in nature.
In addition to the white reflector, the headlamp is equipped with a powerful red light with an output of up to 30 lumens. This does not disrupt the eyes' adaptation to the dark, and thanks to the distinctive flashing mode, the HM53R Garnet also serves perfectly as a safety rear light for a bike.
The flashlight is powered by the included 18350-type rechargeable battery with a capacity of 1600 mAh, which charges directly inside the headlamp body via a modern USB-C connector. The control button features a practical indicator LED, so you always know exactly when it is time to recharge. In an emergency, a disposable CR123A lithium battery can also be used for power (with the maximum output limited to 150 lumens). Top-notch electronics with digital regulation guarantee a constant light output even as the battery gradually discharges. Moreover, in the eco mode, it can shine for up to 250 hours continuously.
From a headlamp to a pocket flashlight in a second: The all-metal flashlight can be easily detached from the headband and, thanks to the steel clip, attached to a belt, pocket, or backpack strap. Furthermore, the tail cap of the flashlight is magnetic, allowing you to easily attach it to any metal surface. Coupled with full IP68 standard waterproofness (submersion up to 2 meters) and high impact resistance, this makes the HM53R Garnet model an ideal companion for running, hiking, fishing, camping, as well as for demanding professional work.
The HM53R Garnet version is specially modified for the local market; it differs from the standard version in the following points:
- The LED in the main reflector has a neutral light tint instead of a cool one.
- After heating up, it maintains a higher output in the Turbo mode and does not reduce output in lower modes.
- The red beam has four output modes instead of three, including an extra eco mode with a 1-lumen output.
- Stronger and faster flashing of the red light allows the HM53R Garnet to be used as a bike flasher.
- Memory for the last red light mode.
All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery runtime, waterproofness, beam distance, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Usage
From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap on the battery inside the flashlight. Remove it from the battery before first use.
- The headlamp turns on into white light by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
- The headlamp turns on into red light with a quick double press of the button.
- The activated headlamp turns off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
If the headlamp is turned on, short presses of the button will cyclically switch output modes in the order of 3 - 50 - 150 - 400 - 1200 lumens (when turned on in white light), or red 1 lumen - red 10 lumens - red 30 lumens - red flashing (when turned on in red light). The headlamp has memory and will turn on in the last used mode for both red and white light, except for the Turbo mode. If turned off in the Turbo mode, it will always turn on in the High mode.
Overheat Protection: When the headlamp is used on high output modes for extended periods, a large amount of heat is accumulated. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 55 °C or higher, it will automatically step down the output by a few lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 55 °C, the output will gradually increase again.
Battery Level Indication: A short press of the button (the headlamp must be off) activates the LED indicator in the button. If the indicator diode lights up green, the battery is charged to more than 80%. Green flashing means 50-80% capacity. If it lights up red, it is charged to 20-50%. Red flashing indicates that less than 20% of the battery capacity remains. The indication only functions correctly with rechargeable 18350 batteries.
Charging: Uncover the rubber cover of the charging port and plug the included cable into the flashlight (USB-C connector). Connect the other end of the cable to a computer, power bank, USB wall adapter, or car adapter (not included). During charging, the side button glows red, and after a full charge, it turns green. After charging the flashlight, seal the charging connector again with the rubber cover. Charging a fully depleted battery takes about 2.5 hours. The headlamp can be used while charging, but the charging time will be prolonged, and the available output modes depend on the current battery charging status.
Low Battery Warning: If the battery voltage drops below a preset level, the headlamp automatically switches to lower output modes. If the headlamp is already switched to the lowest output mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will start flashing red. However, the headlamp will continue to operate until the battery is completely depleted. Note: the low battery warning is calibrated only for the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
Locking the headlamp to prevent accidental activation: Loosen the battery cap of the headlamp by a quarter turn; this breaks the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be turned on. The button can also be locked electronically – with the headlamp switched off, hold the button down for 3 seconds. Once locked, the flashlight will blink red. To unlock, hold the button down for 3 seconds again.
Warnings
- Keep the headlamp out of reach of children.
- Do not shine the headlamp directly into anyone's eyes.
- Do not disassemble the sealed part of the headlamp head yourself, as this will void the warranty.
- Lock the headlamp, remove the battery, or loosen the tail cap to prevent accidental activation if the headlamp is placed in a closed space (e.g., in a pocket or backpack)!
- Do not shine on flammable objects from a close distance to avoid damaging them or causing a hazard due to high temperatures.
- If a disposable CR123A battery is used, do not attempt to charge it in the flashlight.
- If the rubber O-ring appears damaged after prolonged use, replace it. The rings also need to be lubricated to prevent rubber degradation. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
- If the headlamp flickers, does not switch to higher output modes, or does not turn on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is almost empty – recharge or replace it.
- The contacts inside the headlamp are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol.
- The tail cap of the headlamp is loose – tighten it.
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the headlamp, two-year warranty on the battery.
