The rechargeable laser weapon light Fenix GL23R is designed specifically for use on handguns. The white light output is 1200 ANSI lumens with a beam distance of up to 240 meters. Furthermore, the light features a green laser, which is suitable for easier target acquisition (the direction of the laser beam can be finely adjusted). The light is powered by a single Li-ion battery Fenix ARB-L18-1100, which is recharged directly inside the light via a USB-C port on its side and is included in the package. The simplified operation of the light is ambidextrous (for both right- and left-handed users). The GL23R comes with three versions of switch levers (universal – factory-installed, shortened, and extended), which can also be combined (using a different switch on each side of the light according to personal preference). The light can operate in three modes: white light only, white light + green laser, or green laser only. Mounting it on a weapon rail is easy – the light slides onto it and is secured with a rotary dial (it can be firmly tightened using a coin, for example). It can be attached to Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 and GLOCK standard weapon rails (it may not fit slimline category handguns, e.g., the Glock 30 model). The light is suitable for professionals as well as sports and recreational shooters.
All parameters of the flashlight (luminous flux, battery runtime, waterproofness, and beam distance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.
Parameters of the Fenix GL23R LED Weapon Light

- Compatible with Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 and GLOCK standard weapon rails.
- Weight: 120 grams (including the battery).
- Intelligent overheat protection.
- The body of the light is made of aerospace-grade hardened aluminum.
- Durable, scratch-resistant surface – Type III hard anodized.
- Impact-resistant to drops from a height of 1 meter.
- Trapezoidal threads highly resistant to wear.
- Dustproof and waterproof to the IP66 standard (protected against heavy jets of water from all directions).
- The package includes the Fenix ARB-L18-1100 battery, two sets of spare switch levers (the third set is already factory-installed on the light), a USB-C charging cable, an Allen key for adjusting the laser beam direction, a mounting plate for Picatinny rails (the GLOCK plate is already factory-preinstalled on the light), a spare O-ring, and a manual.
Operating the Fenix GL23R Light
There may be an insulating cap on the battery inside the flashlight from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.
Turning the bottom rotary switch selects the desired lighting mode (constantly off, white light, green laser, combination of white light + green laser).
For momentary on, push the rear switch to the up position and hold it. Upon release, the switch will return to the center position and the light will turn off.
For constant on, push the rear switch to the down position. Pushing it back to the center position turns the light off.
Charging the light – open the rubber cover of the charging port and use the included USB-C cable to connect it to a computer, a mains USB adapter, or a car USB adapter (not included). Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can be used for charging. During charging, the indicator LED on the side of the light glows red; it turns green when fully charged. Charging a fully depleted battery takes approximately 2 hours. The Li-ion battery used does not suffer from a memory effect, so the light can be recharged at any time.
Replacing the battery – unscrew the light head and insert the battery with the positive pole facing outwards. Then fully tighten the head again.
Adjusting the laser beam direction – the windage (left-right) adjustment is on the left side of the light. Use the included Allen key clockwise or counterclockwise to move the laser dot. The elevation adjustment is located at the bottom of the light; again, use the included Allen key to move the laser dot. When making large directional corrections, interaction may occur, causing the laser to move diagonally or become jammed. It may be necessary to turn the opposing adjustment screw counterclockwise to allow the laser module to move into the desired position.
Intelligent overheat protection – if the temperature of the light exceeds 60 °C, the output will automatically decrease. Once the temperature drops below 55 °C, the output will gradually increase again.
Warnings
- Do not shine the light directly into anyone's eyes; the Class 3R laser is a source of highly intense radiation capable of causing eye damage to the user or others.
- Use only high-quality rechargeable batteries to prevent damage to the light, for example, due to battery leakage.
- Observe all safety guidelines when using the light on a firearm.
- Insert batteries with the positive pole facing the light head.
- If the light flickers, shines with low power, or does not turn on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The battery is discharged – replace or charge it.
- The contacts inside the light are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol.
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the flashlight. Two-year warranty on the battery.
