Optics and light performance: All-rounder vs. dual reflector
Right at this point, it shows that these are no ordinary flashlights. The most inconspicuous model, the E06R (measuring just under 7 cm and weighing a mere 54 grams), relies on a pair of Luminus SST-12 LEDs. In practice, this means it creates a very smooth, even beam without sharp transitions, which is absolutely ideal for everyday illumination of the path ahead and for shorter distances. The luminous flux of 700 lumens with a throw of 110 meters makes it a pocket-sized affair, but with the power of a full-sized flashlight.
The larger E06R PRO and E08R UE models push the lighting characteristics into a completely different league. Both feature a unique dual reflector fitted with independent chips (Luminus SST-20 and SFT-25). Using the button, you can freely change how the flashlight illuminates the space. You can choose a focused distance beam (spotlight) that clearly and intensively illuminates a specific object in the distance, or conversely, a wide scattered light (floodlight) that smoothly bathes your immediate surroundings and provides excellent peripheral vision. If you then activate Turbo, both chips combine their power, and a brutal 1600 lumens with a throw of up to 160 meters pours out of these flat boxes.
Thanks to its miniature dimensions and a maximum output of 700 lumens, the Fenix E06R is more than sufficient for everyday carry (EDC). The E06R PRO and E08R UE, thanks to the split reflector and tactical switch, add the options of illuminating a wide area or a specific focused point.

- The Fenix E06R and E06R PRO are aimed at practical professionals and technicians. Both feature integrated UV light (365 nm), which you can use to detect counterfeit banknotes, traces of dirt, or fluid leaks. The PRO version additionally has a significantly stronger UV emitter (1300 mW compared to 580 in the base version). Both also feature a practical red laser, perfect as a pointer during presentations or lectures. On the E06R model, you will additionally find an integrated magnet in the tail, which the larger models do not have.
- The Fenix E08R UE is designed as the ultimate gadget. Battery and charging: Only modern USB-C
Power is provided by built-in Li-Po batteries without memory effect. The miniature E06R offers a capacity of 750 mAh with a maximum runtime of up to 60 hours. The larger siblings, the E06R PRO and E08R UE, benefit from a solid capacity of 1650 mAh, allowing them to operate continuously for an incredible 111 hours (nearly five days) in the five-lumen Moonlight mode.
Connectivity also brings great joy – all three models are charged via a reliable and modern side USB-C port, so the same cable you use to charge your smartphone is enough to recharge your flashlight on the go. There is also a practical battery status indicator, so you'll never be caught off guard in the dark.
Material and construction
Although the flashlights look modern or even futuristic, Fenix has not compromised its renowned durability in any way. The entire body is CNC-machined from a solid aerospace-grade aluminum alloy with a scratch-resistant hard-anodized finish. They can withstand drops from one meter, and all meet the IP66 standard, so they will survive heavy downpours from all directions. Naturally, with this "flat" design, there is a sturdy pocket clip for secure attachment to a belt, pocket edge, or backpack strap.
