The Fenix E08R UE is a powerful flat rechargeable flashlight that pushes the boundaries of pocket-sized EDC models. It offers a unique combination of features including a strobe, red light, green laser pointer, and innovative controls. Despite its compact flat design, which fits perfectly in your pocket, it offers a high lumen output of up to 1600 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 160 meters. The flashlight is equipped with a pair of top-tier diodes (Luminus SST20 and SFT25) that allow you to switch between a long-distance spot (spotlight) and a wide (floodlight) white beam. It is powered by a built-in high-capacity 1650 mAh Li-Po battery, which ensures up to 111 hours of runtime in the Moonlight eco mode. Charging is done via a modern USB-C connector located directly on the body of the flashlight.
The Fenix E08R UE features five modes of white spotlight, five modes of wide light, a red light with two power levels, a green laser (pointer), and several scene modes for signaling or entertainment - there is a white side light, RGB backlighting, red-blue flashing, as well as unique digital dice and hourglass modes. The flashlight comes with a sturdy dual-position clip, allowing you to attach it deep in your pocket or on a backpack strap. The battery level indicator integrated into the button is also very practical. The flashlight is ideal for EDC (everyday carry), and thanks to its flat shape, you can always have it with you without it getting in the way.
All flashlight parameters (lumen output, battery runtime, water resistance, impact resistance, and beam distance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Operation
To turn the white light on or off, hold the main button for about 0.5 seconds. The five basic power modes can then be cycled through by briefly pressing the same button. You can switch between the spot and wide reflectors by pressing the middle oval button.
Tactical tail switch (Turbo and Strobe) - When the flashlight is off or in strobe mode, press the tail switch for instant Turbo activation. If you release the button within 3 seconds, the light turns off. If you hold it for more than 3 seconds, the flashlight will lock in Turbo mode. To activate the strobe when the flashlight is off (or from Turbo/white light mode), press the tactical switch quickly twice in a row. Press it again to turn off the flashlight or return to the original mode.
The red light is turned on and off by holding the side red button for about 0.5 seconds. A short press of this button switches between high and low output. The red light can also be accessed directly from the active white light or laser by holding the red switch for 0.5 seconds.
The green laser is turned on and off by holding the green button on the side of the flashlight for about 0.5 seconds. When the white light is on, the green laser can be activated simultaneously (added to the white light) by holding the green switch for 0.5 seconds.
Scene modes (Scene mode) - Quickly double-clicking the main button while the flashlight is off activates the side backlight. Subsequently pressing the button briefly cycles through the functions – white side light → RGB constant glow → red-blue flashing → RGB smooth pulsing → digital dice → digital hourglass. The scene mode is turned off again by holding the main button for 0.5 seconds.
*In the RGB constant glow mode, you can select your favorite color by holding the oval button.
**In the digital dice mode, shake the flashlight twice to randomly light up 1 to 6 side dots.
Memory for the last set mode - When the white light is turned on, the flashlight always activates in the last selected power mode. This function does not apply to the highest High modes (in both the spot and wide beam); in such cases, it turns on one level lower.
The control buttons can be locked to prevent accidental activation, e.g., during transport in luggage - while the flashlight is off, hold down both the red and green side buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The flashlight will then blink twice to signal that it is locked. To unlock the buttons, hold them again for 2 seconds, and the flashlight will turn on in the lowest Moonlight mode.
Battery level indication - with the flashlight off, briefly press the main button once, and the indicator LED will light up for three seconds. A green light indicates the battery is 100–85 % charged, green flashing means 85–50 %, a red light indicates the battery is 50–25 % charged, and red flashing means the battery is critically low (less than 25 %).
Overheat protection - if the flashlight temperature exceeds 60 °C, the output will automatically decrease. Once the temperature drops below 60 °C, the flashlight will gradually return to its original output.
Low battery warning - the flashlight will automatically gradually switch to the lowest power mode, and the indicator LED will flash red to remind you to recharge.
Charging
- Turn off the flashlight and connect it via the USB-C cable to a computer, mains USB adapter, or a car USB adapter. You can also use any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector for charging.
- During charging, the indicator LED glows red, and when fully charged, it glows green. Once charging is complete, disconnect the cable.
- Charging voltage: 5 V, max. charging power 5 W (5 V / 1 A). The standard charging time from a completely depleted state is approximately 2.5 hours.
- The flashlight can be used on a limited basis while charging. If the battery voltage is below 3.3 V, only the Moonlight mode can be turned on. If the voltage is above 3.3 V, you can use the Moonlight to Med modes. The red light, green laser, strobe, and Turbo are not available during charging.
- The built-in battery suffers from no memory effect, so the flashlight can be recharged at any time.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, as this will void the warranty.
- Never shine the green laser directly into the eyes of people or animals! The flashlight should not be used by children.
- If the flashlight does not switch to higher power modes or does not turn on, the battery is dead - please recharge the flashlight.
