The high-performance pocket flashlight Fenix PD35R ACE will dazzle you with a light output of up to 2000 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 380 meters. This excellent light output is provided by the premium Luminus SFT-40 LED. It is powered by a Li-ion 18650 battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh (included in the package), which is conveniently recharged directly in the flashlight via a modern USB-C connector. Under the durable screw nut that protects the USB-C charging port, there is also a unique SET programming button. With it, you can quickly customize the flashlight: choose one of three preset profiles – tactical, duty, or outdoor – and thus perfectly set the number of modes, precisely according to your needs. The Fenix PD35R ACE offers up to seven different lighting modes, so you can always choose the optimal combination of power and runtime. In eco mode, it can achieve an incredible 30 days of continuous lighting on a single charge! For crisis situations, the SOS and strobe flash modes are invaluable. Thanks to digital regulation, the flashlight provides constant light output even as the battery gradually discharges, and you can easily check its status using the charge indicator. The PD35R ACE impresses not only with its compact dimensions and stunning performance but also with its tactical tail switch and the option to connect the Fenix AER-02 remote pressure switch. It is therefore an ideal choice not only for all outdoor enthusiasts but will also serve well for members of the military, security forces, or hunters.
All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery runtime, waterproofness, beam distance, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Usage
From the factory, there may be a black insulating cap on the battery inside the flashlight. Remove it from the battery before first use.
To turn on, press the tactical switch on the end of the flashlight; for momentary activation, only half-press it. By pressing the side button near the head of the flashlight, you can cycle through the constant lighting modes at any time during operation. To switch to strobe, hold the side button for about 0.5 seconds. Pressing it again will activate SOS. Holding the side button again will return you to the constant lighting modes. The number of modes that can be switched depends on your selected mode preset; for example, strobe can be completely deactivated (see below).
Setting Lighting Mode Presets - The SET function offers a choice of three lighting mode presets, which are listed in the following table.
-
Loosen the nut under the flashlight head to reveal the hidden SET switch.
-
With the light on, press the SET switch to cycle between: Setting 1 - tactical mode (Turbo mode only) → Setting 2 - duty mode (3 modes) → Setting 3 - outdoor activities (5 modes). When the flashlight is first turned on, Setting 3 is selected by default.
-
After selecting the desired preset, the corresponding indicator next to the SET button will light up green for 3 seconds to confirm the selection. This indication also shows the current number of available modes for that Setting.

Note:
-
Users can independently activate or deactivate the strobe mode. By default, it is activated in all presets.
-
The number of modes for each lighting preset is listed without Strobe and SOS.
Activating and Deactivating Strobe Mode - With the light on, hold the hidden SET switch for 1.2 seconds to activate/deactivate Strobe mode in all mode presets. The flashlight will flash twice to confirm the selection.
Memory for Last Set Power Mode - The flashlight remembers the last used power mode within the active preset. It will activate in this mode the next time it is turned on (does not apply to Strobe and SOS).
Battery Replacement - Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight and insert the battery with the positive pole towards the reflector. Then fully tighten the tail cap again.
Charging
-
Unscrew the protective nut under the flashlight head to reveal the charging port and plug the USB-C charging cable into the charging port. After charging is complete, tighten the nut again.
-
During charging, the indicator in the side button glows red; when fully charged, it turns green. During charging, the flashlight can be turned on and off by holding the side switch. The tail switch is not functional during charging.
-
The normal charging time for a fully discharged ARB-L18-4000 battery is approximately 3 hours when using a 5V/3A USB power source.
Battery Charge Level Indication - Each time it is turned on, the indicator LED in the side button activates for three seconds. If the indicator LED is green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it is red, it is charged to 25-50%. Red flashing indicates that less than 25% of battery capacity remains. Note: Works only with Fenix 18650 type batteries.
Intelligent Overheat Protection - If the flashlight temperature exceeds 60 °C, the output will be automatically reduced. Once the temperature drops below 60 °C, the output will gradually increase again.
Low Battery Warning - If the voltage drops below the set level, the flashlight will reduce brightness to a lower level. After reaching the lowest output, the battery charge status indicator will start flashing red to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the flashlight head yourself, as this will void the warranty.
- Place the flashlight out of reach of children!
- Do not shine the flashlight directly into your own or anyone else's eyes!
- Loosen the tail cap by half a turn or remove the batteries to prevent accidental activation during storage or transport.
- Use only original protected 18650 Li-ion batteries or 3V CR123A batteries to avoid damaging the flashlight.
- If the protective rubber O-rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The O-rings also need to be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
- If the flashlight flickers, does not switch to higher modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are nearly depleted – charge the battery or replace it.
- The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
- The head, body, or rear part of the flashlight is loose – add lubricant to the sealing O-rings and tighten both the head and the end of the flashlight firmly.
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the flashlight, two-year warranty on the battery.
