The Fenix CP50R Lantern with its impressive light output of 5500 lumens and a beam distance of 450 meters is an exceptional light not just for car camping. Thanks to its unique dual reflector system, you can precisely illuminate distant objects while comfortably lighting up a wide surrounding area – either simultaneously or separately. Additionally, this lantern is equipped with other lights for warning and safety functions: a red triangle light, a yellow flashing light, and a green constant-on light. The design with dual rotary switches allows for stepless adjustment of brightness and color temperature, providing perfect illumination for any situation. Its 360-degree rotating magnetic handle allows for easy carrying, hanging, or attaching to ferrous metal surfaces. With two rechargeable 21700 batteries offering up to 10 days of runtime on a single charge, IP66-rated protection, and high impact resistance, the CP50R is the perfect combination of functionality and durability for any adventure.
All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, beam distance, and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Using the Fenix CP50R
From the factory, there may be an insulating cap on the batteries inside the lantern. Please remove it before first use.
On/Off and Brightness Adjustment - To turn on the white light, rotate the large rotary switch clockwise. By rotating it, you can steplessly adjust the white light's brightness from lowest to highest. To decrease the brightness, rotate the switch counterclockwise. To turn the light off, rotate the switch counterclockwise to its stop position. If the lantern is off, press and hold the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds to activate the warning modes. You can then cycle through the warning modes by single-clicking the electronic switch. The lantern can be turned off again by pressing and holding the electronic switch.
Switching White Light Modes - When the lantern's white light is on, single-click the electronic switch to cycle through the lighting modes: Floodlight → Spotlight → combined Floodlight and Spotlight mode.
Changing the Color Temperature of the Floodlight - When the lantern is in Floodlight or combined mode, the color temperature of the white floodlight can be steplessly adjusted by rotating the smaller rotary switch from warm to cool.
Intelligent Memory Circuit - The lantern memorizes the last used white light mode (Floodlight, Spotlight, or combined). When in the warning modes, the lantern memorizes the last used warning output. The lantern also memorizes the last selected color temperature of the floodlight, provided the small rotary switch was not moved while the lantern was off. *Please note: The lantern does not memorize the brightness level and will always activate on the lowest output.*
Battery Replacement - Pull up the ring on the bottom of the lantern and unscrew it counterclockwise to open the battery cover. Insert the batteries with the negative pole (-) facing inward, then screw the battery cover back on.
Charging - Uncover the anti-dust cap and plug the USB-C charging cable into the lantern's port. After charging is complete, replace the anti-dust cap. During charging, the indicators will flash from left to right to show the charging status. When charging is complete, all four indicators will light up steadily. The lantern can be used while charging, but the maximum output is limited to 500 lumens. The normal charging time is approximately 3 hours when using a USB power source that supports 18W power delivery.
Power Bank Function - Uncover the anti-dust cap and plug a USB-C or USB-A charging cable into the respective port on the lantern, and connect the other end of the cable to the device you want to charge. After discharging is complete, replace the anti-dust cap. During discharging, the indicator lights will flash from right to left to show the discharging status. When the battery voltage drops below 3V, the power bank function will automatically turn off. The lantern can be used while discharging. The USB-C port supports protocols: PD3.0/PD2.0/QC3.0/QC2.0; the USB-A port supports: QC3.0/QC2.0. The maximum discharging power is up to 18W (5V / 3A, 9V / 2A, 12V / 1.5A). The USB-A and USB-C ports can be used for discharging simultaneously. The USB-A port cannot discharge while the lantern is being charged via the USB-C port.
Battery Level Indication - After turning the lantern on, or after a short press of the switch while the lantern is off, the indicator lights will turn on for three seconds. Four lights on indicates a battery level of over 80%. Three lights indicate 60-80% capacity, two lights 40-60%, one light 20-40%, and one flashing light indicates 1-20%.
Intelligent Overheat Protection - When the lantern's temperature exceeds 54 °C, the output will automatically be reduced. Once the temperature drops below 54 °C, the output will gradually increase again.
Low-Voltage Warning - When the battery voltage drops below a preset level, the lantern will reduce its brightness to a lower level. After reaching the lowest output, one battery level indicator will start flashing to remind you to recharge or replace the batteries.
Warning
- Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, as this will void the warranty.
- We recommend using high-quality Li-ion batteries with protection circuits, such as the Fenix 21700 (ARB-L21 series).
- Never mix batteries of different types or capacities in the lantern. Remove the batteries from the lantern if it will not be used for an extended period. If the light flickers, fails to switch to higher modes, or does not turn on, it may be for one of the following reasons:
- The batteries are nearly depleted – recharge them.
- The electrical contacts are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the lantern, two-year warranty on the batteries.
