Extremely powerful rechargeable headlamp Fenix HP35R offers unrivalled power up to 4000 lumens (ANSI) and a range of 450 meters. The excellent performance has been achieved by using a powerful Cree XHP70 LED with neutral tint and a pair of Luminus SST-20 LEDs with warm tint and high CRI 94.5 (Color Rendering Index). The warm light penetrates fog, rain and snow better, so you can use it especially in bad weather conditions. The headlamp is equipped with a spotlight reflector and a pair of smaller reflectors with a floodlight. Both reflectors can be switched on separately or can be used simultaneously in combined mode. With intuitive operation with the rotary and electronic switches you will handle every situation with clarity.

Comfortable wearing on the head is ensured by the wide perforated strap in black. If you only want to wear the headlamp on your helmet, then we recommend purchasing the Fenix HP35R SAR version, which has an integrated helmet mount with NVG mounting and a flame retardant and anti-static strap for work helmets.

It uses a 36 Wh (7,2 V / 5000 mAh) Li-ion battery to provide power, which is housed in a separate case on an adjustable cable. The case can be worn on the back of the neck, placed on a belt, in a pocket or backpack. This increases wearing comfort and in winter the batteries are better protected against frost. The battery case is equipped with a red light of up to 20 lumens, a charge indicator and a rechargeable USB-C connector. The USB-C charging connector also functions as an output, so the battery pack can be used as a power bank to charge your mobile phone, GPS navigation and other USB devices.

The headlamp offers a total of 12 power modes. In the lowest mode with 5 lumens, it provides excellent battery life of up to 500 hours (more than 20 days). The body of the headlamp is made of aluminum alloy used in the aerospace industry, so it provides excellent cooling and resistance to damage. This high performance headlamp with separate battery is designed specifically for search and rescue operations, caving and work use, but will also be appreciated by ski mountaineers, mushers and enthusiasts of other extreme sports and outdoor activities.

All headlamp parameters (lumen output, battery life, waterproof, range and shockproof) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Using the headlamp

The headlamp is turned on and off with the rotary switch on the right side. In the first position the headlamp is off, turning it to the second position switches it to the spotlight mode, turning it to the third position switches it to the floodlight mode and turning it to the fourth position switches it to the combination of both beams. The power modes in each position are cycled by pressing a button on the side of the rotary switch.

The red light on the battery case is activated by holding the button on the battery case for approximately 0.5 s. Individual presses are then used to switch between the flash (5 lumens) and the steady light (20 lumens).

Memory for last set power mode - the headlamp has a memory and will always turn on in the last set power mode of the selected reflector with the exception of the highest power modes of the spot and floodlight reflectors, instead it will turn on in the second highest power mode of that reflector.

The length of the cable connecting the headlamp to the battery case can be increased using the extension cable included in the package.

Battery status indication - pressing the button on the battery case activates the battery capacity indicator (four LEDs 80-100% lit, three LEDs 60-80% lit, two LEDs 40-60% lit, one LED 20-40% lit, one flashing LED indicates less than 20% remaining battery capacity).

Charging - Unplug the rubber cap of the USB-C connector on the battery case and use the included USB-C cable to plug it into a computer, USB network adapter or USB car adapter. Alternatively, any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can be used for charging. The indicator LEDs on the battery case flash during charging, and are permanently lit when fully charged. Charging of a fully discharged battery takes about 2 hours when using a USB power supply with at least 27 W. If a weaker power supply is used, the charging time will be longer.

Activate USB output (powerbank function) - connect the device you want to charge. Activation of the USB output is indicated by flashing LEDs on the case.

Intelligent overheat protection - if the temperature of the headlamp rises above 55 °C, it will automatically start to reduce power until its temperature stabilizes. Once the temperature drops below 55 °C, the power will automatically increase again.

Intelligent power reduction - The headlamp has a built-in protection circuit. When the spotlight approaches the object to be illuminated (to less than 60 mm) for more than 1 s, it will automatically reduce the power to low mode to prevent damage to the object by strong light and glare from reflected light. When the reflector is away from the illuminated object, the headlamp automatically resumes the previously used power level.
On/Off intelligent proximity sensor - Press the side button on the headlamp for 6 seconds when the headlamp is off. Turning on the feature is indicated by the headlamp flashing two times in low mode. Turning the function off is indicated by the headlamp flashing eight times in low mode.

Warning

• Do not disassemble the sealed parts yourself, it will violate the warranty.
• If the headlamp flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is dead – charge it.
  • Make sure the connector on the cable between the headlamp and the battery case is firmly connected.
