The rechargeable Fenix HM75R Pro headlamp offers an exceptionally high output of up to 3500 lumens, two white light beams and powerful red light with an output of up to 140 lumens. The long-range spotlight with a high-performance Luminus SFT90X LED produces a well-focused beam with a maximum distance of 398 metres and a maximum output of 3300 lumens. The second reflector, equipped with two Luminus SST25 LEDs, produces a very wide and smooth beam with an output of up to 1500 lumens and a beam distance of 85 metres. A new feature is the option of using the spotlight and floodlight simultaneously, in which case the headlamp reaches a maximum output of 3500 lumens. Switching between spotlight, floodlight, combined and red light modes is easy using the rotary selector on the side of the headlamp.

The headlamp is powered by a powerful rechargeable 21700 Fenix ARB-L21-5500 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 5500 mAh, which is included in the package. Charging takes place directly in the headlamp via a waterproof-protected USB-C connector. The battery charge level can be checked at any time using four LED indicators on the top of the headlamp.

The headlamp is made from a lightweight and durable magnesium alloy. Its construction is fully dustproof and waterproof according to the IP68 standard and is also impact resistant to drops from a height of 2 metres. Despite its high output, it weighs only 214 grams, including the battery and headband.

All headlamp parameters (light output, battery runtime, waterproof rating, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Fenix HM75R Pro headlamp specifications

Using the HM75R Pro headlamp

On and off - Turn the rotary switch from the off/locked position to any lighting mode to turn the headlamp on. If the headlamp is unlocked, it can also be turned on by pressing and holding the electronic button for 0.5 seconds. Turn the selector to the off/locked position to switch the headlamp off, or press and hold the electronic button for 0.5 seconds.

Switching lighting modes - The rotary selector can be turned in either direction to switch between red light, off/locked position, spotlight, floodlight and combined spotlight and floodlight mode.

Output selection - In spotlight, floodlight and combined white-light modes, single presses of the electronic button cycle through Low – Med – High – Turbo. In red-light mode, the available modes are Low – Med – High – Flash.

Turbo mode - In any white-light mode, press and hold the electronic button for 1.2 seconds to switch immediately to Turbo mode. A single press of the button or 60 seconds without further operation returns the headlamp to the previously used mode and output. Actual output in Turbo mode may vary depending on battery level, ambient temperature and other conditions.

Memory of the last selected output - The headlamp automatically remembers the last selected output level of each mode except red light. When switched on again, the last used output is activated. If the headlamp was switched off in Turbo mode, High mode will be activated the next time it is switched on.

Intelligent output reduction - The headlamp has a built-in proximity sensor. When the reflector in white-light mode approaches an illuminated object to approximately 60 mm, it automatically reduces the output to Low mode to prevent overheating of the object or other hazardous situations. If the headlamp is moved away from the object for more than 0.8 seconds, it gradually restores the previously used output level.

Enabling/disabling the intelligent proximity sensor - With the headlamp switched off, press and hold the electronic button for 6 seconds. The headlamp indicates activation of the function with two flashes in the Low floodlight mode. Deactivation is indicated by eight flashes in the Low floodlight mode.

Intelligent overheat protection - A large amount of heat accumulates when the headlamp is used at high output levels for extended periods. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 55 °C or higher, it automatically reduces the output to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 55 °C, the output gradually returns to the preset level.

Low battery warning - If the battery voltage drops below the preset level, the headlamp automatically switches to a lower output level until the lowest output is reached. Once the lowest output has been reached, one of the battery level indicators starts flashing to remind you that the battery needs to be recharged or replaced.

Charging

Charging the headlamp - Open the dust cover and connect the USB-C charging cable to the charging port on the headlamp. During charging, the battery level indicators light up progressively. Four continuously illuminated indicators mean that charging is complete. After charging, disconnect the cable and carefully close the dust cover. Charging a fully depleted battery with a suitable 5 V / 2.5 A or more powerful USB power source takes approximately 1.5 hours. The headlamp can also be used while charging, with all modes available except Turbo. 

Battery level indication - With the headlamp switched off, briefly press the electronic button. The indicators display the battery level for approximately three seconds. Four illuminated LEDs indicate 80–100%, three indicate 60–80%, two indicate 40–60%, one indicates 20–40%, and one flashing LED indicates approximately 1–20% remaining capacity. Battery level indication works with Fenix ARB-L21 series batteries.

Battery replacement - Unscrew the battery compartment cover, insert the battery according to the marked polarity, and screw the cover firmly back on.

Warning

• Do not shine the headlamp directly into anyone's eyes.
• Keep the headlamp out of reach of children.
• The headlamp becomes very hot when operated at high output. Exercise increased caution to prevent burns or overheating of nearby objects.
• Do not place the switched-on headlamp near flammable objects.
• Prevent accidental activation of the headlamp during storage or transport.
• Do not disassemble the sealed parts of the headlamp yourself, as this could damage the headlamp and void the warranty.
• Use only high-quality protected 21700 Li-ion batteries. Do not use Li-ion batteries without protective electronics.
• If the headlamp will not be used for an extended period, the manufacturer recommends removing the battery.
• If the headlamp flashes, operates intermittently or does not turn on, this may be caused by one of the following:
  • The battery is almost depleted – recharge or replace it.
  • The battery or headlamp contacts are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol.
